Over the past few years, many double handed anglers worldwide have provided feedback towards the development of the present CTS Affinity series of two handed rods. This has resulted in a superb series of highly efficient casting and fishing tools. The Affinity series has become not only accepted, but well respected within the entire community of double handed anglers fishing their favourite rivers worldwide.

The Affinity Series blanks represent the forefront of blank design - utilizing all the features of the CTS blank technology program. Boasting CTS's 'VeroCore', variable weight helical core. Born from the desire to create lighter, more efficiently engineered blanks, this new helical technology starts with a super light weight helical reinforcement at the tip and progresses to a more powerful helical that delivers the cross sectional stiffness renowned in the Affinity heritage.

The newly released DQ taper increases tip power and loading into the butt, while the new super low resin content carbons increase response and reduce weight. The classic progressive taper, flex, and speed of recovery will allow efficient delivery of all contemporary two handed line systems.

Scandi shooting heads, and classic underhand power delivery technique will inherently require tip loading. The Affinity Plus DQ tapers with a very economic stoke, utilizing only minimal applied dominant underhand power. Minimal anchor "touch and go" deliveries typical of classic Scandi shooting head line systems will require utilizing only the top 2/3 of the Affinity Plus DH tapers for maximum performance.

The Affinity Plus DQ tapers have the butt reserve to transfer power well into the cork when asked, and will deliver the longer bellied classic Spey tapers with a sensual authority that is a joy to have in hand.
